Our Building Services team in Madrid sits at the heart of Arup's commitment to sustainable development. We engineer innovative and energy-efficient solutions that minimize environmental impact while creating comfortable, healthy, and high-performing spaces. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across Spain and potentially internationally, collaborating with experts from various disciplines.
The Opportunity
This is your chance to participate in the design and delivery of cutting-edge mechanical systems for a variety of building projects. You will provide support in shaping sustainable built environments, collaborating with a talented team and working with prestigious clients.
As a Mechanical Engineer Trainee at Arup, you will:
- Support the team in the preparation of calculations, reports, plans and technical specifications for a variety of national and international projects.
- Have the possibility of joining a team of professionals who accumulate extensive experience in the field of mechanical installations.
- Participate in unique projects, as well as getting involved from the first moment in specific design tasks.
Does this role inspire you?
- We are looking for someone proactive and dynamic that will actively support our Mechanical Engineering team in Arup in Spain. Ideally, you'll bring:
- Currently studying Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Technology Engineering with a specialty in mechanics.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish skills.
- Interest in the field of mechanical installations and the technical field.
- Interest in teamwork.
Bonus if you have:
- Enrolled in a Master's degree related to the field of mechanical installations and/or sustainability will be an advantage.
- Experience in a position with similar responsibilities.
Conditions
- Be enrolled in the university to be able to establish an agreement with the University
- Immediate incorporation
- Duration: 6 months of extendable internship (possibility of joining after completing the internship)
- Schedule: From 20 to 40 hours per week to be defined with the student
- Remuneration: will depend on the student's level of training and the number of hours established.
