Student Internship in Preclinical Safety (Disease Biology, R&D)MissionThe Preclinical Safety Team is helping Almirall R&D to identify drugs with an acceptable safety profile in humans that is appropriate for the intended population (e.g. therapeutic indication).How


• Guide Drug Discovery on selection of the best targets and compounds regarding safety.


• Guide Drug Development on the safe progression of a drug up and through clinical testing and into routine clinical practice.

Functions and responsibilities


•       To review the internal benchmark data for Preclinical Safety activities (target safety assessments, studies, consultancies, providers, etc.).

  • To support management of outsourced studies (budget, orders, quality, timelines, archiving, etc.).

  • To review/update current Preclinical Safety study outlines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and support to create new SOPs and/or Working Instructions related to Preclinical Safety activities.

  • To compile, organize and upload results from Preclinical Safety studies to repository platforms.

  • To deep dive into digital tools to increase Preclinical Safety efficiency (anticipation of toxicology and safety signals related to targets/drugs, advanced data summarization and visualization capabilities of results from Preclinical Safety studies, etc.).

  • To learn key aspects of non-clinical safety in R&D.

 EducationBachelor's degree in Health Sciences.Must be pursuing a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical industry  Specific expertiseHigh level of English, written and spoken.Informatics: Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Analytical profile.Temporary internship for a Master's student in our Preclinical Safety team within R&D. The role offers hands-on experience in nonclinical safety assessment and exposure to drug development processes in a collaborative environment.
