Description
In Davies we want someone to join a dynamic transformation team driving large-scale digital and payments modernization initiatives for some of the most critical global corporate banks.
The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in defining and delivering end-to-end payment integration and transformation solutions. In addition to strong expertise in banking payments and cash management, the role involves leveraging AI-assisted tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, and JIRA Rovo) to improve documentation quality, testing efficiency, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the senior business analyst for large-scale payment transformation and integration projects involving Tier-1 banks and multinational corporates.
- Drive functional analysis for integration between banking systems and corporate ERP/TMS platforms using ISO pain.001, pain.002, pacs.008, etc.), MT101, and API/H2H models.
- Gather, validate, and translate business requirements into functional specifications with an emphasis on payments, reconciliations, and liquidity management.
- Collaborate with IT architects, payment operations, and compliance teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.
- Lead workshops with senior stakeholders and external partners to define business processes and operating models.
- Define and execute UAT test cases, and oversee defect triage and resolution.
- Support change management and training initiatives across the organization.
- Mentor junior analysts and lead cross-functional analysis efforts across payment and integration projects.
- Represent Business Analysis in strategic transformation steering committees.
- Use AI-assisted productivity tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, JIRA Rovo) to improve requirement traceability, create structured documentation, and summarize project discussions and sprint reviews.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
- 7+ years of experience in financial services with at least 4 years focused on international payments, corporate cash management, or treasury systems.
- Proven expertise with ISO 20022 XML formats (pain.001, pain.002, pacs.007, pacs.008, etc.), message types (MT101, MT103), and SEPA rulebook is a plus.
- Strong understanding of bank connectivity models: H2H (Host-to-Host), API, EBICS, SFTP, and bank portals.
- Solid experience with ISO 20022 migration and CBPR+ message schemas.
- Exposure to treasury management systems (e.g., FIS Quantum, Kyriba, SAP) and ERP integration.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as PSD2 and global payment schemes (TARGET2, T2S).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments (JIRA, Confluence).
- Fluency in English and Spanish (will be tested); proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.
- Ability to effectively use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, JIRA Rovo) to streamline requirement documentation, user story creation, and analysis tasks.
- Awareness of ethical and controlled AI use in banking environments.
