We are seeking a
meticulous and motivated Fraud Analyst
to become part of our Risk & Compliance team. In this position, you will serve as a
Fraud Activity Agent
, working on the front line of protecting our marketplace from fraudulent activity. Your work will involve conducting investigations, reviewing documents, resolving high-priority cases, and ensuring our users enjoy a safe and reliable platform.
This is an office-based role fully in Barcelona
, and we provide
relocation assistance
to help make your move seamless.
Key Responsibilities
As a Fraud Activity Agent, your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Carrying out investigations into potentially fraudulent behavior using company systems and set workflows.
- Examining and validating documents provided by customers to confirm authenticity and detect risks.
- Closing high-risk cases quickly and accurately, while respecting established service deadlines.
- Tracking cases that are awaiting further documentation and taking appropriate follow-up action after the 14-day submission period.
- Keeping clear, structured records of all actions taken, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and service agreements.
- Handling delicate or escalated cases with professionalism and effective communication.
- Applying detailed knowledge of fraud patterns, platform processes, and investigative techniques to minimize risk exposure.
- Recommending enhancements to fraud prevention methods and sharing feedback with your team.
- Demonstrating independence, judgment, and professionalism when managing sensitive or complex situations.
Profile We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with strong analytical ability, resilience, and excellent communication skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You're a strong candidate if you:
- Have
native or near-native German (C1)
and advanced command of English. - Bring
at least 6 months' experience
in fraud prevention, compliance, or back-office support, ideally in an e-commerce or marketplace context. - Have a record of meeting performance targets in previous positions.
- Uphold professional integrity and a clean disciplinary history.
- Are empathetic, adaptable, and skilled in handling challenging or high-stakes conversations.
- Can resolve escalations with tact and accuracy.
- Use problem-solving resources (knowledge bases, AI tools, search engines) effectively.
- Pay close attention to detail and are able to work independently under pressure.
- Understand operating systems (Windows, iOS, Android) and can explain their features to others when required.
- Have practical knowledge of CRM platforms, case management tools, and logistics/tracking systems.
- Keep calm in demanding situations, make balanced decisions, and approach issues with root-cause thinking.
- Are punctual, dependable, and maintain a collaborative and positive work approach.
