Founded in 1997, GRUPOTEC has become an international and multidisciplinary engineering and architecture company, and today it is a benchmark in the photovoltaic energy sector.

We are currently seeking a Junior Analyst/Associate to join our Corporate and Structured Finance team based in our Madrid offices. The department is looking to reinforce the team to support the company's growth, with a strong focus on providing and arranging debt financing for mid-market Project Finance and M&A transactions in PV and BESS projects, as well as Real Estate deals, across EMEA and LATAM. From the very beginning, you will be co-responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of Project Finance and M&A transactions, taking ownership of the projects from the start.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Scan and monitor different debt financing alternatives available in the market.

  • Support or lead the financial close of projects.

  • Prepare complete project finance models or improve/update existing ones.
  • Obtain and negotiate financing term sheets, recommending the best available structure and negotiating financing contracts.
  • Coordinate due diligences required by lenders and liaise with internal departments (Legal, Technical, Development, Finance).
  • Support the Asset Management team after financial close.
  • Assist the Development team in analyzing new investment opportunities.
  • Participate in M&A transactions, both on the buy side and the sell side.
  • Maintain regular contact with banks, debt funds, investors, developers, and clients.
  • Actively contribute to portfolio management, monitoring operational and construction progress reports, waivers, and recaps.
  • Support management in reporting plant performance to investors and lenders.
Requisitos:

Required Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Project Finance, Corporate Finance, or infrastructure-related fields within a top-tier institution: developer, investment firm, or advisory firm in the renewable energy, infrastructure, or real estate sector, or banking experience in real estate, infrastructure, and/or power/energy/utilities.
  • Strong proficiency in building complex financial models.
  • Solid understanding of Corporate and Investment Banking markets, including risk exposure management.
  • Excellent command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) — outstanding Excel skills and ability to operate financial models from early on.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, performance orientation, creative mindset, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality standards under pressure.
  • Languages: High level of English; other languages will be highly valued.
