What will be your mission?As Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you will support the Housekeeping Manager in managing and directing the day–to–day of all housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure that product quality standards are meet and that optimum service is provided to hotel guests according to hotel standards and under cost control measures. You will also supervise and coordinate the housekeeping staff.
What will you do? Assist in the planning, scheduling, and organization of the work to ensure proper coverage by the floor staff. Support floor staff in the cleaning and preparation of rooms, in case of urgency, incidence or need. Supervise common areas (lobby, lounges, hallways, etc.) and hotel rooms prepared and cleaned by floor staff (owned or subcontracted companies). Collaborate in the organization of the general cleanings of the hotel as well as communicate to the maintenance department the elements to be fixed. Collaborate with the front office department in the allocation of specific rooms based on the particular requirements or characteristics of the guests. Assist in the supervision and organization of the guests' lingerie, proceeding to its cleaning in the hotel, or identifying it to be sent to an external dry cleaner. What are we looking for? At least 2-3 years' experience developing similar functions preferably in a hotel/service industry of similar size and complexity. High school diploma or equivalent education. Fluency in local language and knowledge of English is highly valuable. Working knowledge of various computer software programs (Microsoft Office, etc.). People and customer oriented.Management and organizational skills.Results driven and focus on detail.Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
