About Us

JB46 is a global micro-cap private equity firm investing in small and mid-sized businesses via Entrepreneurship-Through-Acquisition (ETA). Over the past 10 years, we've backed more than 150 entrepreneurs and invested in over 40 operating companies across multiple sectors and geographies.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated intern to join our investment team. The role provides hands-on exposure to ETA investing, working closely with entrepreneurs and operating companies. This is an in-person role in our office in Madrid, with flexibility for remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate investment opportunities across the ETA spectrum.
  • Build relationships with entrepreneurs and review acquisition strategies and sector theses.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses on potential acquisition targets.
  • Contribute to internal discussions and assist in preparing materials for investment committee processes.
  • Support firmwide operational initiatives, improving workflows, data quality, and internal systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree or master's degree from a top-tier university.
  • Strong analytical skills and solid understanding of financial concepts. Basic understanding of Entrepreneurship-through-acquisition and the Search Fund model.
  • Prior experience in a financial-oriented role (investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance) or entrepreneurial experience preferred.
  • High level of ownership and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment.
  • Clear and confident communication skills; comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish plus a third European language preferred.
