The Role
As Regional Team Lead – Business Development at Lucanet, you will lead and scale our Business Development function across the DACH region. Fluent German is essential for this role, as you will shape outbound strategy, drive new logo acquisition, and lead a high-performing team of BDRs engaging German-speaking markets. You will develop clear progression paths into future Account Executive roles while playing a critical role in expanding our market presence, building a strong pipeline, and creating sustainable, repeatable growth.
What you'll do
- Lead and coach a team of BDRs focused on new logo acquisition and market expansion
- Develop and implement outbound and inbound conversion strategies
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and Account Executives to ensure regional alignment
- Drive performance across key metrics, including:
- Activity levels
- Lead conversion
- Opportunity volume and value
- Win rates
- Sales velocity
- Establish strong 1:1 relationships between BDRs and AEs to improve handovers and pipeline quality
- Provide targeted, data-driven coaching on activity quality and meetings generated
- Monitor, analyse, and report on team performance and pipeline health
- Support the creation of clear development and promotion paths for BDRs
- Ensure cost-efficient team operations through smart resource allocation
- Stay up to date with trends such as AI-driven sales automation and dynamic target setting
What you bring to the table
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Marketing, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
- You have 3–5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or sales development, ideally within a SaaS environment.
- You have proven leadership experience, with a strong track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.
- You are comfortable working with data and performance metrics and have experience using Salesforce and modern sales tooling.
- You have exposure to tools such as Gong, Salesloft, Chili Piper, or similar development platforms.
- You are an excellent communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively across Sales, Marketing, and leadership teams.
- You have fluent German and English language skills.
- You bring a proactive, strategic mindset and thrive in fast-paced, international environments.
