As part of the validation team, you will be responsible for the execution and continuous improvement of validation activities across our products. You will work hands-on with robotic platforms to execute validation scenarios while identifying opportunities to improve our validation processes through automation. - Work model: #OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Sevensense by ABB team as part of ABB Robotics in Spain and Switzerland. Through your work, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products perform reliably across a wide range of customer environments. As an ideal candidate, you demonstrate curiosity, ownership, attention to detail, and a systematic approach to problem solving. You will be mainly accountable for: Executing and documenting validation activities for new features, bug fixes, and software releases on our robotic platforms. Investigating test failures, reproducing issues, and working with development teams to identify root causes and verify fixes. Maintaining and extending manual and automated test suites, while collaborating with the test automation team to increase automation coverage. Continuously improving validation workflows, test environments, and release readiness criteria, by identifying opportunities to increase testing efficiency and product quality. Qualifications for the role A degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with a focus on robotic systems. Experience working hands-on with robotic platforms or other complex hardware-software systems for testing, integration, or troubleshooting. Industrial experience in software testing, validation engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field is a plus. Good programming skills in Python and familiarity with Linux-based systems. Experience executing and documenting structured validation or test activities. Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate failures, perform root-cause analysis, and work systematically to resolve issues. Familiarity with robotics concepts such as localization, navigation, perception, or AMRs.
Experience with ROS is a plus. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.Fluent in English (spoken and written).
