The RoleLoss Adjusters have the job of thoroughly investigating a claim, determining if payment is warranted, negotiating a financial settlement, and authorizing payments to the Insured. Once the Insured makes a claim on their insurance policy, you will first investigate the claim in order to determine if the claim is legitimate and whether the policy covers the damage/loss.
The position can be performed remotely from mainland Spain only and will require site visits. Coordinating with international teams will be required and occasional travel is needed. We are open to receiving applications at senior levels (including Director).

Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of Financial Lines claims in Spain, including Professional Indemnity, D&O, Cyber, BBB and Commercial CrimeUndertake site visits and meeting with Insurers, Reinsurers, Brokers, Claimants, Insureds and other interested parties.
Prepare reports commenting in detail on all aspects of the claim including legal and policy liability considerations, potential quantum and future actions.
Instruct and control surveyors, engineers, lawyers, forensic accountants and other experts as necessary.
Communicate regularly with all interested parties, calculating and approving interim payments, preparing interim reports and other communications.
Calculate and agree settlement of claims and preparing accurate final reports.
Work closely with the team to develop the existing Financial Lines business for current clients and identify and bring in new business, as well as build new relationships and networks both internally and externally.
Identify any key business development and marketing opportunities in the Financial Lines area and with support, manage these to successful conclusion.
Be an integral part to develop the London and European markets and Charles Taylor Adjusting's (CTA) brand profile globally.
Carry out Ad Hoc duties and tasks that are allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post.

Required SkillsMinimum 3 years’ loss adjusting / claims handling experience.
Experience of Financial Lines claims handling recommended but good experience in other lines may be considered.
Enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable approach to work is essential.
Bilingual in English and Spanish; if other European languages spoken, considered a plus.
