What is it like to be a Product Assurance Engineer at DHV Technology?
As a Product Assurance Engineer at DHV Technology, you will play a key role in ensuring that our space photovoltaic solar panels fully comply with customer requirements, applicable standards, and contractual obligations throughout the entire project lifecycle. Working closely with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and customers, you will lead Product Assurance activities from requirements definition through design, qualification, manufacturing, testing, and final customer acceptance.
This role requires a proactive and preventive mindset, focused on risk management, regulatory compliance, configuration control, and continuous oversight to ensure the successful delivery of reliable space products that meet the highest aerospace quality standards.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensure compliance with applicable customer requirements, ECSS standards, internal procedures, and Product Assurance requirements throughout assigned projects.
- Prepare, implement, and maintain the Project Product Assurance Plan and associated Product Assurance documentation.
- Act as the primary Product Assurance interface with customers, supporting technical reviews, audits, and project meetings.
- Support requirements analysis, design reviews, qualification activities, and product acceptance from a Product Assurance perspective.
- Promote a preventive approach by identifying project risks, monitoring critical activities, and ensuring the implementation of appropriate mitigation actions.
- Review and approve the selection of materials, processes, and components to ensure compliance with applicable project and customer requirements.
- Manage non conformities, deviations, waivers, RFWs, RFDs, and change requests, ensuring proper impact assessment, implementation, and closure.
- Ensure effective configuration management by monitoring product baselines, configuration changes, and the consistency between As Designed, As Built, and As Delivered configurations.
- Support reliability, safety, and risk analyses in collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Plan and perform Product Assurance audits and surveillance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare, review, and approve Product Assurance deliverables required for customer reviews, qualification campaigns, and final product acceptance.
- Ensure that all hardware and documentation delivered to the customer fully comply with contractual, technical, and Product Assurance requirements prior to shipment.
Education and Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Materials Engineering, or a related scientific or technical field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Product Assurance, Quality Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a similar role within the aerospace or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience working on product development projects throughout the complete lifecycle, from design to customer acceptance.
- Familiarity with ESA, ECSS, or other aerospace quality standards is highly valued.
