About Greybone

Greybone is a creative services studio for the video game and entertainment industries. We produce key art, illustration, graphic design, CGI, video content and user acquisition creative for international publishers and globally recognised entertainment IPs.

We operate as dedicated, long-term teams embedded in our clients' marketing processes and held to their brand standards. Our work ships publicly — it is often the first image a player sees of a product.

The role

We are looking for a Senior Marketing Artist with strong foundations in graphic design and illustration to join the dedicated team on one of our principal accounts, an international mobile games publisher.

We are looking for a high-autonomy profile reporting to the Creative Lead: someone who can take a brief, available assets and a style guide and return a resolved piece, ready to present to the client.

This is a multidisciplinary production role. Alongside strong traditional art and design fundamentals, the artist is expected to be comfortable using generative AI and basic 3D workflows as part of day-to-day production.

Alongside their own output, this artist will act as a technical reference point for the junior and mid-level artists on the team.

Responsibilities

  • Concept and produce key art, illustration, designs and performance creatives end to end, working within each IP's brand guidelines and style guides.
  • Resolve briefs independently, owning concept, composition, colour and execution decisions.
  • Use generative AI tools as part of professional production workflows for ideation, asset generation, iteration, image extension, cleanup and compositing where appropriate.
  • Use Blender at a practical production level to pose existing 3D characters, adjust cameras and lighting, and render characters or backgrounds for integration into final artwork.
  • Act as direct support to the Creative Lead: take on the most complex pieces, absorb production peaks and contribute judgement to the account's visual decisions.
  • Maintain visual consistency across deliveries and campaigns within the direction set by the Lead and the client.
  • Adapt and version campaigns across the full range of required formats and channels, including stores, social, display, video and print.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level artists: review work, give technical feedback and support their development.
  • Take part in client presentations and feedback sessions where the work calls for it.
  • Estimate timelines realistically and flag production risk early.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in marketing art, key art or entertainment advertising, with shipped campaigns for videogames.
  • A curated portfolio demonstrating senior-level illustration and graphic design applied to campaign work. This is a hard requirement.
  • Strong, demonstrable fundamentals in composition, colour, light, anatomy, typography and visual hierarchy.
  • Professional command of the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop first and foremost, with competent Illustrator.
  • Technical excellence in retouching, photo composition and digital compositing.
  • Professional working knowledge of generative AI image tools and workflows. This is a required production skill, not a nice-to-have. Candidates should understand how to use AI as part of a controlled creative pipeline rather than as a substitute for art direction or design fundamentals.
  • Basic practical knowledge of Blender. You should be able to work with existing scenes and assets, pose characters, set up or adjust cameras and lighting, and render characters or backgrounds for subsequent compositing in Photoshop. Advanced modelling, rigging or texturing skills are not required.
  • Proven experience working with recognised IPs and brands, and the ability to operate within strict brand guidelines and licensor approval processes.
  • A clear grasp of the commercial context beh
