Department Overview: Michael Kors is looking for a Concession Buyer who is opportunistic and product focused to grow a successful Concession business to the next level. This individual will partner with Management, Field, Merchandising, Planning and product operations to identify opportunities, develop, and execute strategies to build strong assortments that will achieve/surpass financial objectives of the division. Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in an international and entrepreneurial environment are a must. What You’ll Do: Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Responsible for the selection and construction of strategic assortments for all Women's divisions Accessories, Ready to Wear, Footwear and Licensees for Concession business. - Deliver a commercial range that maximizes sales and profit opportunities across the business. Provide a tailored selection according to store profile, region, seasonality across different partners. - Generate business analysis to track selling, identify key trends and maximize opportunities in the assortment to achieve continued growth and profitability of the concession business - Propose actions plans to improve business towards product strategies. - Participate on preparing hindsights on weekly, monthly, seasonal basis for performance tracking. - Partner with Merchandising working on trend reports, competitor analysis on a seasonal basis to develop Concessions buying strategy per season meeting brand and market expectations. - Leverage cross-functional teams and initiatives to create opportunities for concession business in collaboration with retail team, field team, sales support, merchandising, wholesale, and licensees to ensure proper execution of merchandising strategies. - Develop with Planning team seasonal plans, open-to-buy, merchandising and promotional strategies. - Liaise with Branch Planning and Visual Merchandising ensuring that store profile and capacity possibilities are adapted to each store and updated on seasonal basis. - Work closely with Planning and Allocation to execute merchandising strategy on by-door basis. - Recommend timely strategy on markdown periods and product lifecycle. Provide insight and opinion based on experience and analysis to grow and impact business_._ - Responsible for developing and communicating merchandising strategies to all business partners to ensure that goals are met/surpassed on regular basis. Regular communication with Field - Set up action plans. - Work closely to Visual Merchandising team managing floor sets cadence and display, key pushes follow up, monthly VM guidelines construction and ideal set up from market to stores per profile. - Collaborate with Marketing department on the Concessions exposure in social media, events, etc. Follow up on exclusive assets push in store and outside and work closely on the influencers program and special capsules launch. - Develop alignment with Operations team for product knowledge, monthly assortments, and weekly performance information flow to the stores I field. - Prepare for and attend store visits analyzing performance and bringing recommendations to drive business, maintaining extensive knowledge, and understanding store needs and potential. You’ll Need to Have: - Relevant experience as a Buyer - Computer Literate - Strong Excel Skills - Proven ability to effectively communicate with international environment. - Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. - Proven ability to thrive in entrepreneurial environment with financial acumen. - Proven ability to work to tight deadlines.
