CIC energiGUNE is seeking a Laboratory Technician to work in the General Analysis Characterization Unit and participate in the activities of the Electron Microscopy Platform.

Job functions:

- Keep updated the tools for registering and organizing the analysis requests.
- Ensure all the material necessary for fluent work in the different analysis techniques.
- Sample preparation, development of calibrations (if necessary), conducting routine or nonspecific measurements and record all data and results in specified forms with accuracy and responsibility.
- Participation in the drafting of quality procedures and their implementation according to internal quality standards.
- Taking care of the maintenance of the equipment and facilities.
- Provide technical support to different research projects, making contribution to those projects ensuring compliance with analysis and report deadlines.
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Introduction and basic training about different techniques when necessary.

**DESCRIPTION OF THE INSTITUTION**:

- Degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material sciences or related fields.
- Theoretical and practical experience in different **analytical** and **microscopy** **techniques** as:

- **Scanning electron microscope (SEM)/microscopies. **Includes also experience in sample preparation for SEM measurements.
- **Gas Chromatography** (GC/MS, GC FID/BID), CHSNO Elemental Analysis or Physical adsorption of gas (BET)
- Ability to identify and solve technical problems.
- Proficiency for quickly learning new skills or field of study.
- Good verbal skills in English.
- Proactive and committed attitude with high levels of initiative, proactivity, and willingness to learn.
- A good team player who can collaborate with other team members.
