We're looking for a Regional EHS Manager to drive the organizational's environmental, health and safety in our EMEA and APAC Regions.

This position will be based in Madrid but travel will be needed in the 50% as it will be in charge of coordinating all the plants in the assigned Regions.

**Essential Functions**
- Work with all Liqui-Box locations to understand EHS requirements and define key strategies around employee safety engagement and leadership commitment to enable a sustainable process for implementation of the EHS management system.
- Manage the development and maintenance of EHS systems, processes, and records; Proactively review and analyze loss and risk data across the enterprise and recommend/define EHS programming enhancements to address common opportunities and key areas for improvement within the Regional organization.
- Lead internal and external assessment teams in execution of facility assessments, ergonomic reviews, and environmental hazards; Ensure audits and assessments are completed to maintain compliance with local, National and Global regulations.
- Assist in the definition an overall strategy and implementation approach for delivery of health and safety training across organization; provide support across all locations in implementation of developed Health and Safety Programs; Facilitate communication around identified / validated field team best practices.
- Lead and support on-site teams’ completion of root-cause investigations following EHS incidents; manage the development and definition of meaningful corrective measures to address findings from EHS audits and investigations, obtain the root cause and ensure corrective actions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence; Provide technical guidance to field teams around health and safety compliance requirements.
- Maintains an understanding of all site industrial processes, chemicals, and by-products to perform duties associated with process safety management.
- Monitors new regional EHS legislation and facilitates process or system changes, as necessary.
- Develop and institutionalize Sustainability programs and metrics.

**SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Subject matter expertise in safety and health regulations
- Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to act as a change leader by influencing all levels of the organization
- Requires leadership and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of personnel; ability to work effectively in teams and independently.
- Must have excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience as an EHS auditor.

**EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of industrial occupational safety experience.
- Experience implementing or assessing safety management systems.
- Certified Safety Professional preferred
- Manufacturing Experience preferred
