This is a new role designed to lead and drive the Patient Voice delivery team at IQVIA. It is an exciting position to ensure the effective daily management and development of this line of business. The postholder would be responsible for monitoring and steering team performance in terms of sales, profitability, team structure and harmony, and deliver and implement mitigation plans for any challenges identified and identify areas to grow the business.
The post holder would be part of an EMEA Regional Team, and have responsibility for leading the Patient Voice delivery team (c. 50 people) based largely in Northern Spain. We anticipate that a significant amount of time would be required to be spent in Spain, if the postholder is not already based there.
Core activities of the role include:
- Business management
- Ensure that key performance targets for the business are met, particularly in terms of revenue and profitability
- Proactively develop mitigation plans for any potential challenges with the business
- Ensure team compliance with IQVIA ways for working, for example adherence to IQVIA SOPs, meeting corporate training requirements, etc.
- Foster and manage close collaboration of the Patient Voice team with other business areas and teams of IQVIA
- Business development
- Identify areas of potential innovation for the business, develop appropriate business case and implementation strategy
- Support the business development function and support them in managing current accounts and opening up new revenue streams
- People strategy
- Responsible for leadership of the Patient Voice team (c. 50 people), developing strong team spirit and IQVIA culture
- Ensure team members have clear career plans, goals and objectives and participate fully in IQVIA performance reviews and other development opportunities
- Identify training needs and any support requirements for the team
- Build and deliver on team people plan using tools such as the regular employee pulse survey
Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years working experience, with at least a significant portion in service firms (e.g., Consulting, Primary Market Research and / or support services for CROs)
- Understanding of the patient recruitment process and the role of the patient in life sciences
- Extensive experience in commercial business management, demonstrated through team leadership and meeting growth targets
- Good marketing skills and ability to verbalise clear and concise positioning of offer
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high turnover of projects
- Excellent networker, strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal leaders and external clients
- Passion for bringing the Patient Voice into scientific and commercial decision making for pharma companies
