We are seeking to appoint an experienced, outstanding colleague to lead our pastoral care team, who are working with students aged 3 - 11 years old.The Head of Pastoral Care will consistently work towards outstanding performance across all professional standards, ensuring efficient and effective student support in relation to personal and socio-emotional development, promoting positive mental health behaviours and healthy interpersonal relationships. They will design a carousel of learning programmes to support strong community relations, creating bridges between the families, specialists, and the school.Please see the Job Description for full details.Qualifications and Experience:
A qualified, experienced leader of pastoral support within the British education system, or a professional psychologist with training in early years and primary students and psychotherapy or clinic.
+4 years of experience working with early years and primary students, families, and schools
Preferably had training in interpersonal mediation techniques
Knowledge of the public mental health system preferred
International experience (desirable)Essential:
Fluent English and Spanish speaker.

**About the school**

Oak House School is a private, co-educational school, situated in Sarrià, in the north of Barcelona. It was founded in 1968.

The school is a Non-Profit Foundation with a Board of Governors. The Board is comprised of seven parents, elected through the Parents’ Association.

We currently have 1108 pupils on roll, aged between 3 and 18 years.

In Early Years and Primary, Oak House School is fully authorised as a British School in Spain. The authorisation is awarded by the British Council, following a rigorous inspection by British inspectors. The school is a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS).

The Oak House Secondary department complies fully with the requirements of the Catalan education system and is an authorised International Baccalaureate World School, offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme to our 16 to 18 year old pupils.
