**Too Deadly for Diabetes Program**
**Join Our Mission to Combat Diabetes**
The Too Deadly for Diabetes Program is a 10-week initiative to promote good nutrition, physical activity, weight loss, and lower blood glucose levels for Torres Strait Islander people living with Type 2 Diabetes.
We are looking for a passionate and community-focused individual to join our team
**You will**:
- Support and guide participants through the 10-week program
- supported in Delivering culturally appropriate nutrition and physical activity education
- Help participants track progress and set health goals
- Promote healthy lifestyle choices in your community
**Who We're Looking For**:
- Passionate about health and well-being
- Willing to gain experience in community health, nutrition, diabetes education and/or fitness
- Strong communication and engagement skills
- Understanding of Torres Strait Islander culture and health challenges
- Ability to work collaboratively with local health services

**Skills/qualifications**:
- ** Mandatory Requirement, must have a current Blue Card - Working With Children or the ability to obtain is essential upon commencement.**:
- A sound level of knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook) for reporting and planning.
- Have initiative and be highly motivated.
- Ability to work collaboratively with local health services.
