Team description

The Mergers & Acquisitions team (M&A) is responsible for generating inorganic growth opportunities and executing the underlying transactions (e.g. acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, etc.). The M&A team is part of the broader Adevinta Finance and Strategy team. Find out more here:
**Job Description**:
The M&A Analyst is a core member of the M&A function who is able to analyse deals, build complex financial models and support executive decision making on inorganic investments.

**You will**:

- Build financial models and presentations which convey the strategic rationale behind inorganic investment opportunities in a clear, structured approach
- Perform industry, product, customer and financial analysis to support specific recommendations
- Support due diligence activities for transactions (mergers, acquisitions, divestments, JVs and commercial partnerships)
- Develop strong relationships with executives, market leadership and external advisors
- Prepare materials for and support presentation of investment cases to senior executives (including Group Investment Committee governance)
- For transformational deals, support integration planning, execution and cross-functional alignment
- Manage data sharing policies and clean rooms between target and acquirer
- Support tracking of deal synergies from due diligence through to integration execution
- Design and create standardised corporate tools, techniques and templates (e.g. integration / separation / JV / partnership playbooks)

**Qualifications**:

- Limited experience in investment banking / consulting / related M&A environment
- Strong analytical, modelling and research skills
- Advanced in Google suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong project management skills with ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and support multiple transactions simultaneously
- High attention to detail and ability to present data in a meaningful way with relevant commercial and strategic insight
- Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of deal impact across organisation and functions
- Able to think creatively and solve problems
- Ability to deliver presentations to senior executives within Adevinta Excellent academics in business / economics / corporate finance
- Experience in capital markets preferable Willingness and ability to travel
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics / Corporate Finance / Accounting (Master’s degree is desirable)
- Excellent English skills (Spanish and another language a plus)
