About the role

The Iberia Head of Warranty and Service programs (f/h/x) will be responsible for the achievement of ambitious profitable growth objectives for this important cluster in EMEA and have direct accountability for the underwriting results with respect to profitability and loss ratio. As the leader you will put in place clear strategies to increase our market share, focusing on profitable products & specific market segments that will position AIG as key market player.

**What you need to know**:
The Iberia Head of Warranty and Service programs (f/h/x) will determine clear business development strategies outlining short-, medium
- and longer-term opportunities for growth. You will drive a strong pipeline of new opportunities that meet AIG’s risk appetite and profitability targets.

You will represent AIG’s Warranty & Service Program on the market with key clients and brokers.

You will identify new market opportunities and implement new products when appropriate.

You will liaise with operations, systems, legal, claims, FP&A and other functions to ensure awareness of underwriting activities that require support and service. You regularly review the business analytics and provide leadership in the decision making on required actions. With the responsibility for the quality of the underwriting practice, risk selection and pricing performance as well as the implementation and execution on underwriting best practices and guidelines to ensure rating and pricing adequacy you will drive the business forward together with your team.

**What we’re looking for**:
As the Iberia Head of Warranty and Service programs (f/h/x) you drive vision and purpose, developing organizational capability with your strategic and result oriented leadership style. Next to your strong influencing and people management skills you have shown the ability to work across multiple areas of a company and industries.

Strong and relevant experience of products and local market experience, with underwriting or business experience. Experience with group, travel, specialty, and affinity products would be a plus.

Ideally you have a tertiary qualification/degree in a business discipline along insurance qualifications in the reinsurance and first party insurance with an in-depth financial services operational management experience.

Fluent in English

In-depth experience in building relationships and influencing within diverse cultures are part of your profile.

You have a proven track record of delivering profitable growth in a sizable and relevant general insurance product line in the Iberian markets and bring along knowledge markets segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition, and distribution.

A strong business acumen paired with a track record of making sound judgment backed by strong analytical, quantitative, process and systems skills.

This along a broad based, insurance and warranty industry experience and experience of successfully managing operations with similar complexity and scale define your professional profile.
