ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for friendly, engaging Cooking Class Guides / Hosts to lead immersive paella, churros, and sangria cooking classes in Madrid. This is a freelance role ideal for people who enjoy sharing food, culture, and fun experiences with groups of international visitors. Each class accommodates up to 15 guests and lasts approximately 3 hours, taking place in local restaurants. You’ll guide participants step-by-step through cooking while delivering entertaining commentary about the dishes, ingredients, and Spanish culinary culture. Training and a detailed script will be provided, so previous cooking or hosting experience is welcome but not required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead cooking classes (paella, churros, and sangria) for up to 15 participants
- Guide guests step-by-step through recipes and techniques
- Deliver engaging, informative, and entertaining commentary about Spanish cuisine and culinary traditions, local ingredients, and cultural context
- Ensure participants have a fun, interactive, and safe experience
- Provide excellent, attentive customer service
- Manage class flow and timing professionally
- Represent the company with energy, warmth, and professionalism
- Follow the provided script while adding your own personality and presence REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent / near-native English (essential)
- Spanish at medium level or higher (able to communicate with restaurants and local suppliers)
- Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of groups of up to 15 people
- Highly sociable, confident, and personable
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Willingness to learn and receive feedback
- Must be able to work as self-employed (autónomo) in Spain
- Passion for cooking is a plus, but not required
- Extra languages are a plus, but not required NICE TO HAVE (BUT NOT REQUIRED)
- Previous cooking, hospitality, or tour guide experience
- Knowledge of Spanish cuisine, recipes, or culinary techniques
- Experience working with international guests SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
- Flexible schedule (classes scheduled in advance)
- €70 per 3-hour class (excluding tips)
