French Translator/proofreader

**Responsibilities**:

- Translate video game content such as: in-game materials, UA videos, in-game messages, stories, scripts, etc.
- Translation in a wide variety of styles and terminology
- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.
- Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format for game development team.
- Produce quality copy quickly, efficiently, and against deadlines
- Collaborate with designers, social media specialists, and other to create visuals that bring your writing to life
- Monitor and achieve the best linguistic / cultural quality required for the specific market.

**Requirements and Skills**
- French native speaker.
- Bachelor's degree (localization, linguistics, or with equivalent experience)
- High level of English.
- Proven work experience as a Translator, Proofreader, or similar role.
- Experience within the gaming industry is a plus.
- Good knowledge of content editing tools and translation software such as Memsource.
- Any additional European language is a plus.
- High interest and knowledge in video games and mobile games
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience within the localization industry
- Written and verbal communication skills are excellent; can effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Self-motivated with a growth mindset and high adaptability to change.
- Well-organized with the ability to independently handle a variety of projects at the same time

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Barcelona, Barcelona provincia: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
