Introduction

In 2020 Shimano started a new venture to start with our own distribution of Fishing products within the Iberian market. We are pleased to announce that in 2021 Shimano will see further growth as we are set to take over distribution of our own bicycle products in across Spain. To Support our team, we are looking for a Credit Controller which will be responsible for the proper financial administration with adherence to regulatory controls and company standards that ensure the financial data integrity of the organization.
- The Challenge
- Ensure the correct processing of all incoming payments and customer queries in compliance with policies, procedures, governance & regulations
- Perform financial transactions whilst always ensuring the verification, correct system usage and proper administration of all accounting and customer data
- Prepare and keep record of financial documentation, such as Tax returns, bills, payroll information, bank deposits
- Periodically reconcile the accounting ledger and contribute to a well-executed process of month, quarter, and annual closing.
- Liaise with internal and external customers to verify discrepancies, resolve billing issues & chase payments.
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounting statuses, suspended accounts, ageing analysis etc.
- In accordance with guidelines (e.g. IFRS & J-SOX)
- Support with wider business tasks in areas of Business Support, Audits, month end closing procedures, reporting
- What are we looking for?
- A finalized financial education on at least intermediate level.
- 2+ years of working experience at a financial department of preferably an international trade organization.
- Excellent communication skills and a critical and accurate attitude.
- Able to work under pressure. A pro-active way of working and strong numerical insight.
- Fluency in Spanish and English both verbally as in writing.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot tables, advanced Formulas.) JDEdwards, Power BI, Concurare a plus.
