Our **Strive** growing team is looking for a new Carbon Project Associate

We see a growing demand, coming from corporations and from individuals, all looking to understand what their zero-carbon pathway looks like, and build the new capabilities required as part of this transformation. Our Strive team focused on the voluntary market - is continuously innovating to provide the best sustainability advisory and carbon offsetting services to corporate players globally, to help them transition to a zero-carbon world.

The role is based in Madrid.

**The role**

The Carbon Project Associate will be part of the business development team and will help with the process of scouting, acquiring, and supporting client carbon offset project calibration. In doing so, you will support customers with Net Zero goals or decarbonisation goals by developing carbon reduction projects and also proactively contributing to supporting various sectors in reducing their carbon footprint. Will also offer Strive's complementary services to potential new customers.

**More about the Role and Core Responsibilities**
- Market observation and identification of opportunities
- Establishment of contact and building relationships with potential new clients
- Developing business relationships with industry-relevant stakeholders
- Work with colleagues to calibrate and advise new and existing clients on the basis of their project goals
- Contribute to developing project proposals and commercial agreements
- Coordination of client projects up to project handover for implementation
- Establishment and maintenance of excellent working relationships with internal departments
- This role will report to the Business Development Director - Projects

**We believe you will be great for this role if you have**
- Between 1 -3 years of business development and project management experience in carbon, energy markets, or related areas and passionate about environmental and sustainability
- Knowledge of the project management cycle, and familiarity with any of the following methodologies and project types: CDM, Gold Standard, and VCS projects
- Strong commercial skills and willingness to develop new business
- Good analytical and organization skills, ability to prioritize and be multitasking
- Structured, independent, and meticulous way of working
- Willing to work in an international context
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be a real team player
- Willingness to travel
- Master/Bachelor level degree
- Strong working proficiency in English and additional languages are welcome
