**Forestry Carbon Project Consultant**

**THE ROLE**

For the Forestry/NBS, we are looking for an expert to play a strong key role in the technical assessment and maturation of opportunities. This person will lead the technical development of projects and will bring energy and passion with experience in the development of emission reduction Forestry/NBS projects.

**MORE ABOUT THE ROLE AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assess business opportunities that generate carbon credits from Forestry/NBS, together with commercial team members. Liaise with project owners, project stakeholders, and clients on Forestry projects.
- Lead assessment (due diligence) of the technical value of individual Forestry project/ programme opportunities, including environmental; community stakeholder participation; measurement, reporting and verification (MRV)
- Manage technical elements of business opportunities across the Forestry/NBS portfolio ensuring the projects are of high-quality achieving registry and certification standards
- Research topics, including emerging trends and new opportunities around Forestry/NBS and related sustainability topics.
- Be actively involved in the strategic development and management of your field of expertise.
- Contribute to discussions with Strive clients interested in on-demand project development in nature-based carbon projects.
- Represent Strive as an expert in your field in media or events when required.

**WE BELIEVE YOU WILL BE GREAT FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE **
- Experience in forestry/NBS, and a track record in the development of emission reduction projects under some of the internationally recognised standards (VCS, GS, CDM, CAR, ACR ) and methodologies.
- Knowledge and expertise in the field of ALM, REDD+, ARR, ACoGS, and other AFOLU-related projects. Also Ideally, GIS knowledge.
- Good analytical and organization skills, ability to prioritize and be multitasking
- Structured, independent, and meticulous way of working
- Curious to learn and passionate to create solutions
- Willing to work in an international context
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, be a real team player
- Forestry Science or Engineering, Environmental Sciences University degree, or related disciplines..
- Working proficiency in English language and additional languages are welcome
