EHS and Sustainability Senior Consultant - Sustainable Operations/Corporate Sustainability

ERM is seeking a motivated Senior Consultant with a passion for sustainability and who can manage tasks and projects related to operational and reporting sustainability activities.

With your knowledge of sustainability reporting, you will support companies in building their non-financial reporting disclosures and help them transition into becoming more sustainable. We, at ERM, the world’s largest advisory firm focused solely on sustainability, are seeking a dedicated colleague who is passionate about supporting companies with EHS compliance for operating facilities in the ESG and carbon paradigm to help companies drive ESG/carbon performance improvements, maintain compliance, operationalize strategy and disclose confidently.

The role will be part of our

Sustainability Operations

team in Spain. Offices are based in Madrid or Barcelona, but we offer flexible working arrangements.

Role responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant you will:

- Lead sustainability reporting requirements such as CSRD, taxonomy or non-financial indicators reporting, or voluntary reporting such as CDP.
- Low Carbon Economy Transition projects, Carbon neutrality and climate change projects, e.g. Life-Cycle Assessments, circular economy, etc.
- Support on the design and implementation of corporate Environmental, Health & Safety strategies and programs for HSE and Sustainability including diagnostics, compliance and technical audits, awareness raising, training programs, and hazard and risks identification and assessment.
- Support on design and implementation of HSE and Sustainability governance processes aimed to drive Operational performance improvement of Organizations, including deployment of risk and opportunities assessment, development of management systems, planning and delivery of auditing activities, design and delivery of training programs.

About You

To be successful in the role you will bring:

- Knowledge or experience in EU taxonomy, CSRD directive, materiality analysis, non-financial reporting and other sustainability reporting such as CDP (climate/water).
- Substantial, relevant experience across HSE and sustainability disciplines as a consultant or in industry.
- Substantial knowledge of Spanish HSE legislation and international HSE & Sustainability Guidelines/Standards (e.g. SDGs, TCFD, ISO 14001, ISO45001, ISO 50001, ISO 26000, SA8000).
- Bachelor or Master's degree in sustainability relevant disciplines.
- Working knowledge of English (C1) and Spanish is required.
