You will be part of the Europe and Asia (E&A) Business Development (BD) team, responsible for leading the bid processes at ICF Next. The team responsible for bid management for our Brussels office.

The role will include activities relating to the pre-proposal phase, the development and management of proposals and providing support and guidance to technical teams.

Within the role, you will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of clients and thematic areas, from Strategic Communications and Marketing

As Bid Manager, you will be the driving force behind the production of our creative and customer-focused responses to client specifications. The multi-stakeholder environment will provide collaboration opportunities both internally and externally, including technical teams, pricing, contracts, procurement, partners and subcontractors, graphic designers, or editors.

The primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing the proposal development process across technical teams and central business services according to ICF’s business development procedures,- Developing and driving the schedule and managing all work streams in a timely manner- Organising and taking part in win strategy and solution focussed workshops,- Management of all people components of the process, including setting up, directing, and delivering Colour Team reviews (e.g., availability, planning, deliverables) with our Senior Management Team,- Responsible for developing, preparing and/or approving all qualifying evidence as required on a timely basis,- Supporting the maintenance of the sales pipeline reporting,- Ensuring our efforts are working to the same process, level of quality and consistency on every bid across E&A to ultimately, surpasses clients’ expectations to win the work that generates our award-winning reputation,- Providing professional support to the consulting teams, helping them to use the right tools at the right time to maximise the success of their bids.

Required skills and experience:
- As of 5 years’ work experience in proposal coordination, preferably in a communication and marketing environment.- Understanding of public-sector procurement processes and market. European Commission sales experience is a plus,- Experience managing team sites, SharePoint pages, internal databases, and pipelines,- Experienced user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel,- Highly organised and efficient,- Adaptable to change and able to drive change through the bid team,- Fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in French would be a bonus.

- Accuracy and attention to detail,- Capable of making decisions and have an awareness of the impact of those decisions on other stakeholders,-
- Ability to analyse information and make sound observations and recommendations quickly- Able to appropriately challenge the status quo to ensure the best solution is developed in response to client requirements and the agreed bid strategy,- Highly developed persuasiveness skills,- Understanding of how price to win is developed within a European Commission proposals environment,- Resourceful and able to solve problems independently and in collaboration with other team members,- Flexibility and willingness to provide support when it is required,- Resilience and ability to work within short timescales,- Curiosity and willingness to learn,- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), and a proven ability to collaborate with individuals and teams,- Team player with strong interpersonal skills,- Outstanding ability to work with people at all levels, including senior executives.

The role can be based in Brussels or Spain (only remote work available).
