this is a fantastic opportunity for a Hr leader with proven experience working in a multi-office company, who thrives in an ever-changing, fast paced environment. We seek to avoid a ‘corporate culture’ and retain our entrepreneurial, family-style team culture.
you will be responsible for ensuring operational effectiveness in all areas of the organisation to ensure team members carry out their roles effectively, mediate disputes including on a granular level, finding solutions to problems and dealing with issues either before they are brought to the Founder and Chairman or working with the Chairman to resolve issues, coupled with strengthening the executive teams, by carefully targeted and painstaking recruitment.
the companies are English-speaking based in Gibraltar, Spain & the Uk with travel required between these and other locations.
**duties and responsibilities include**:
owning the Hr/people operating efficiency strategy.
taking hands on responsibility to resolve wide range of often granular issues enabling the Chairman to focus on business priorities
continually improving company processes and organisational structure to maximise performance, efficiency, delivery and productivity. identify and resolve problem areas, underperformance and under delivery
acting as liaison between the Chairman and the team in employee relations, work performance and delivery, operational or performance issues, and any other structural problems and resolving by excellent problem solving and innovative thinking
managing, engaging and collaborating with regional Hr head in each office to oversee resolution of individual Hr issues
negotiation and contractual management
providing / collating succinct and insightful reports as required
providing practical advice and gaining expert advice on employment law, employee relations and disputes. Always being solutions-orientated.
communicate across the organisation on expected behaviours, driving accountability, responsibility and improvement through every level of the organisation
experience / Personal Attributes
prior successful experience in diverse roles including fast-paced senior Hr role, senior management, operational, commercial, business, and broader people management experience in different sectors, potentially including consulting
previous experience working in senior level Hr in Spain or surrounding areas.
bilingual and able to read, write, and speak both English and Spanish proficiently
a problem-solver being innovative, forward-thinking, hands on, and delivering the solution.
resilient, tenacious and streetwise.
commercially minded, cost conscious and entrepreneurial with the ability to achieve without unnecessary spend or large budgets
ability to ignore the noise and cut to the chase
good legal and contractual experience and the confidence to not regularly contact lawyers
adaptable and flexible thinker, creative and analytical
hands on, hard-working, fast paced, self-motivated achiever, doing whatever it takes to attain the solution
