**EMEA Spectroscopy Business Team Director**

**This role can be home based anywhere in Western Europe.**

Liaising closely with Solution Unit and providing field feedback, defining product roadmap priorities and developing the EMEA strategical plan.

Working closely with the regional Country Responsible Sales Managers, Customer Support Organization and the EMEA Marketing Team to establish Molecular & Atomic Spectroscopy as a competitive strength in the targeted solution markets.

Working across Product Lines in the Technical Coverage and Solutions team to identify opportunities, co-ordinate initiatives and campaigns generating synergies focused on customer outcomes, based on specialization in innovative technologies, workflows and strategic markets.

Geographical accountability will be EMEA and even if primary accountability is Atomic and Molecular portfolio, cooperation with our consumables and services businesses (CSD & SSD) will be critical to ensure the most performing solutions and best differentiation vs competitors.

Content creation and digital enablement are essential contributions, in order to accelerate digital customer engagement.
- Appropriate undergraduate degree required; MBA or PhD a plus
- 3+ years' experience with multinational and remote people management, proven skills to manage diverse teams.
- 5+ years track record in sales, marketing, and support of products in analytical industry
- Proven track record of working in multinational environment
- A proven track record of profitable sales and market growth to be demonstrated over a sustained period of time
- Direct people management and sales management experience
- Experience with product commercialization, workflows and markets development
- Proven track record of successful change management initiatives
- Proven track record of process and workflow improvements across organizations and sales channels
- Strong drive for growth and success, highly driven with good maturity level
- Experience in building and leading a multi-functional team, cross-cultural exposure & leadership
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Strong negotiation and enterprise level sales management skills.
- Demonstrated management, leadership and teambuilding skills
- Hands-on results oriented experience in the creation and execution of successful sales plans
- Demonstrated organizational development and collaboration skills are required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- A strong, strategic thinker, who is process-and metric oriented, obsessed with continuous improvement, manages by fact and has excellent conceptual skills demonstrated through disciplined, succinct communication
- Demonstrated leadership in a cross functional environment with the ability to lead, influence and shape opinion
- Outstanding communication skills with an ability to clearly and crisply communicate such complex issues as Agilent's strategies, product plans and brand management programs
- Passion for talent development with the ability to select and grow high-potential people who will contribute to the growth of Agilent organization in the region
