Our Strategy Team is composed by a small team of self-driven professionals who are looking forward to making a difference and help driving the regional Strategy in our path towards One Santander.
This function has great visibility and impact across the entire organization, as such having committed, hands-on, motivated team members with excellent critical thinking capabilities is critical for our success.
**What you would be doing**:
As One Europe Strategy Manager you would have the opportunity to help shape One Europe’s transformation agenda. The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Participate One Europe’s financial Planning process, including: long-term strategic vision (Sx), 3-year planning (PX), Budgeting, periodic results presentations (quarterly, annual,), etc.
- Participate (and/or lead) key strategic projects for the region across multiple areas (e.g. Retail, Digital, HR, Finance, T&O,)
- Prepare supporting documentation for key Committees / governance bodies (e.g. Group ExCo, Management Com., StratCo, Board Strategy Day, Local Boards, European Leadership Team, etc.)
- Liaise with different teams and coordinate efforts, trying to identify and solve (as possible) any interdependencies, conflicts, duplicities, etc.
- Perform ad-hoc quantitative and qualitative analysis requested by Europe’s Leadership Team
- Support the preparation of Regional events (offsites, key meetings, etc.)
- Understand the overall macro-economic context, key trends in the market (main opportunities, threats), incl. competitive landscape (incumbents, large techs and fintechs) and its impact in our business
**What we are looking for**:
- University degree.
- +5 years of experience in a Dynamic and highly competitive working environment, that provided the opportunity to develop strong analytical skills, critical thinking and the capacity to work in teams, with demanding pressure levels. Previous experience in strategy, project management and/or corporate development is a plus.
- Key competences: Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills. Business insight and strategic mindset. Good interpersonal skills and communication (written & verbal). Action-oriented
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- English and Spanish proficiency required.
**Desired Experience**:
A background in strategy or (strategic) consultancy and/or corporate development, would be desired.
