The role will include but is not limited to:
Environmental Analysis and Networking:

- Develops and maintains awareness of significant developments in the field.
- Monitors, analyses and identifies opportunities and threats in national Public Health regulation/ legislation framework and how this could affect the company, company product portfolio and product pipeline.
- Shares relevant policy trends and recommendations cross-functionally and to business leadership.
- Establishes and maintains a broad network of relationships with key stakeholders in national market both within and outside MSD.
- Adapts information and crafts messages for policy communication to internal and external customers
- Liaises with communication department to ensure alignment with policy and comms
- Lead international Policy projects in the field of oncology.

Implementation:

- Establish prioritised programmes of policy development on basis of Spain MSD business needs.
- Development with business areas and policy team policy ‘asks’ for use by company spokespeople and senior leadership in Spain
- Promotes MSD’s position with institutions and organizations - either individually or through other teams.
- Fosters exchange of relevant information among stakeholders, builds alliances and consensus around processes and resources to take towards a common objectives
- Partners with other functions within the Company (e.g. business-to-business, legal, brand teams, market planning, clinical research, corporate affairs, market research, medical information, regulatory, statistics, strategic pricing, etc.) to deliver collaborative work products

**PROFILE**:

- University Degree required
- Posgraduate (MBA or specialized) highly valuable
- Not less than 5-8 years of experience in policy & communications including development of strategic and tactical plans, prioritization, best practice sharing, training, change management. Highly valuable in Pharma industry, Public Health, Oncology field.
- Thorough understanding of the policy and legislative development processes and how to influence them, how to mobilize stakeholders (internal and external) around a particular topic and theme to achieve change consistent with the Company’s goals
- Existing network of national policy stakeholders.
- Good understanding of oncology business and of company portfolio
- Strong strategic thinking skills
- Innovative and able to create opportunities
- Ability to influence individuals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a team/cross-functional environment
- Ability to think and act globally with a customer focus and a solution orientation
- Strong project management skills
- Superior written and oral communication skills in English
