Overview:
The Junior Manager is responsible for the designing, coordinating and implementing program and extracurricular activities to ensure a world-class experience for Business school students across our portfolio of programs.
The Junior Manager will report to the Executive Director for Program Experience Innovation of the School and will work closely with the Associate Directors to define objectives and implement the right activities. The Junior Manager will also work in a team with a Program Coordinator and a Program Assistant and will interact with Faculty, Students, different departments of IE and external vendors to deliver on the department’s initiatives.
The post will be located in the MM campus in Madrid.

- Program Development and Management:_
- Manage the day-to-day implementation of extracurricular activities to ensure its successful delivery.
- Coordinate and supervise the key administrative processes to improve and implement new initiatives.
- Plan and organize a diverse range of extracurricular activities, including events, workshops, seminars, conferences, competitions, trips, etc.
- Collaborate with different departments at IE and external partners to ensure the seamless execution of extracurricular activities and events.
- Develop and track a yearly calendar of events, taking into consideration the academic schedule and students' interests.
- Conduct regular evaluations of extracurricular programs to assess their impact and effectiveness and to make informed decisions and implement improvements for future extracurricular activities.
- Interact with potential and current partners and identify potential opportunities for collaboration.
- Ensure adequate coordination with the rest of the School units on the design and execution of activities.
- Student Engagement:_
- Actively seek student input and feedback to tailor initiatives and solutions to their needs and preferences.
- Identify ways to improve the student experience and engagement.
- Communications:_
- Design and develop materials to promote activities and events.
- Utilize various communication channels to keep students informed about upcoming events and extracurricular activities.
- Ability to prepare and present effective presentations
- Administration:_
- Logistical coordination for the execution of events and activities.
- Carry out any other related task requested by the senior management.
- Coordinate with the team’s assistant to handle vendor payments
Qualifications:
**Requirements**:
- Bilingual, or advanced proficiency, in English and Spanish (written and oral).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, including supervisory functions.
- Experience in higher education would be highly valuable.
- Professional experience in event planning, coordination and execution.
- Excellent organization skills, and a “can-do attitude”.
- Ability to work well independently as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and high level of accountability.
- Experience in multi-stakeholder environments and a strong customer orientation, are essential.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Curious, eager to learn, open-minded, and excellent teamwork skills.
- Strong desire to work in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when required.
