By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time-sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio. **The successful will be based in Spain and will work in a hybrid model from our office in Barcelona and from home** **What your day will look like**: - Build a high-performance culture and inspire teams enabling optimal performance - Actively participate in development projects to provide technical insights and increase the team's development pace and productivity - Build an agile delivery model with iterative and frequent releases using CI/CD, automated testing, and other agile best practices - Hire and manage resources to accelerate the product development cycle (on and offshore) - Responsible for implementing and managing processes across the entire engineering team (development, QA, release management, DevOps, CloudOps) - Provide actionable metrics and insights into the performance of the engineering team - IT environment management, including hosting costs optimization - Take charge of addressing the large scope of the portfolio's cloud spend in a creative manner, including its architecture and engineering entities - Cross Functional Team Lead for Stakeholders in Operations, Finance, and Development, providing transparency, analysis and optimization recommendations for our cloud spend and design - Strategically work with team members on capacity planning and Reserved Instance purchases - Communicate, establish, and measure KPls to track progress and success of optimization - Understand and communicate billing, forecasting, and budgeting best practices - Manage numerous requests concurrently and strategically - Extensive network and experience forming offshore development teams - Understanding framework can ensure the correct architecture decisions are made and are feasible for the team - Some European travel will be required as and when the business requires **About you**: - At least a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is essential - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role - Cloud administration education is a big plus - AWS, Azure or similar certifications are a big plus - Proficient in Spanish and English, both written and verbal, is essential - An additional European language, French, Italian or Dutch, would be highly advantageous - 10+ years of professional experience in related jobs, out of which 5+ managing a team of at least 2 people - Strong leadership, management, and mentoring skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions - A "roll up the sleeves" attitude towards problem-solving - Goal-oriented with comfort in setting measurable goals for others and him/herself - Legally authorized to work in Spain
