About the team you are joining

Under the mentorship of the Regional Head, People, Performance and Development, Europe, the intern will provide general HR administrative support, working in close collaboration with the rest of the People, Performance and Development (PPD) team on implementing ongoing PPD projects and initiatives, and gaining experience and understanding of HR practices and process in IATA.

What your day would be like

Liaise with employees, service providers (insurance companies, relocation and removal agencies) and IATA departments to support the onboarding process of new employees;
Learn about administrative HR processes in general, learn about the main principles of the labor legislation and their implementation in practice;
Contribute to the implementation of global and regional PPD initiatives and organization of special events;
Handle employees´ queries, provide clarity on procedures and practices and escalate to the PPD team as appropriate;
Ensure accurate and timely document processing and submission as well as, updating PPD related database and system;
Provide support to the PPD Europe Team as needed.

We would love to hear from you if you have

Recent graduate degree (less than 12 months ago) or are a student in final year in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration or other relevant area;
Excellent administrative and organizational skills with a strong focus on quality and an eye for details;
Willingness to learn and develop yourself as an HR generalist;
Highly organized and analytical mindset;
Self-starter, able to take initiative and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously;
Dynamic personality, flexible, team oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure in a past-paced environment;
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively, internationally, cross-culturally and at all levels within and outside the organization;
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality;
Excellent communication skills in English and in Spanish, knowledge of other languages will be an asset.
