Are you an inspirational and transformational leader with a passion for People & Communications? We have an exciting opportunity for a People & Communications Director to lead the department for KONE Italy (also includes KONE Supply Chain and KONE Technology and Innovation units based in Italy) & Iberica (Spain, Portugal and Andorra). Based in our Madrid office and reporting to the Senior Vice President, People & Communications, Europe, and with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Managing Director for Italy & Iberica, this role is perfect for a seasoned professional keen to escalate their career trajectory and enrich their learning experiences.
As the People & Communications Director, you will act as a strategic business partner, focusing on advising, coaching, and developing our respective leadership teams and other business leaders. You will participate in service delivery and promote the usage of the People & Communications service delivery model in your units. Your proactive approach will include sharing feedback and business requirements with different teams and helping them turn those into actions that improve service delivery.
In addition, you will be responsible for local people and communications operations, providing support and coverage for all employees located within your responsibility area. This will include overseeing the activities of roles such as People & Communications Business Partners, Labour Relations, and People Operations, who report directly to you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crafting business strategies and deploying them through partnership and local operations- Guiding and nurturing your team's growth- Championing employee engagement, inclusivity, diversity, and equity- Steering change management and both internal and external communications- Facilitating workforce planning, M&A support, and organization development- Advising on the employment lifecycle, promoting health and wellbeing- Managing union and labor relations and annual People & Communications processes- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a relevant field.- A minimum of 15 years of comprehensive experience in Human Resources, including a successful track record as a People Director in a dynamic, multicultural business environment spanning multiple countries.- Proven ability to influence key stakeholders using exceptional communication skills.- Demonstrated track record in coaching and developing talent, leading diverse teams and advising business leaders.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading Transformation and Change Management initiatives.- Proven expertise in People & Communications process and project management- Experience working in a matrix structure within a cross-border organization.- At least 10 years of experience in managing industrial and workplace relations. A robust business acumen with a commercial mindset, evidenced in roles requiring a strong understanding of business and financial principles.- Knowledge of People & Communications and safety-related regulations and legislation- Proficiency in providing budgeting support for the business.- Fluency in English and Spanish. Proficiency in Italian will be advantageous.- Willingness to travel as required.
