Business Continuity Manager

LV have an exciting new opportunity to join us as a key member of the Operational Resilience Team. The main purpose of the role is to conduct thorough resiliency reviews, such as assessments and testing of Disaster Recovery capabilities and Business Continuity plans for our material third party suppliers. These include critical outsourced arrangements or suppliers who provide critical resources for the delivery of our Important Business Services exercises.

In addition to this, the role requires conducting essential lessons learned reviews and remediation of follow up actions, as well as conducting assessments of supplier exit plans (stressed and unstressed scenarios). Some expertise in support of the wider resilience agenda at LV is also required such as involvement with the IT Disaster Recovery and stress testing programmes, scenario based testing of our services and Crisis Management.

Responsible for providing effective support to the Operational Resilience and Vendor Management teams at LV. The role requires a fundamental understanding of both the SS1/21 (Operational Resilience) and SS2/21 (Outsourcing and third party risk management) regulatory policies

**About you**:

- Provide Business Continuity and Operational Resilience expertise to evaluate the resilience of material suppliers supporting both tender processes and ongoing business needs. This involves working closely with the Operational Resilience and Vendor Management teams and business relationship owners.
- Responsible for supporting the relationships with key resilience personnel of critical third party suppliers, ensuring clear roles and accountabilities and testing of their operations to meet requirements.
- Effective stakeholder communication with key internal contacts ensuring dependencies on third parties for important business processes, plus outsourced suppliers and other critical service providers are understood and reviewed on an annual basis. This also includes ensuring exit plans are incorporated into business planning and contracts, ensuring compliance with regulation.
- Identify vulnerabilities in the resiliency capabilities of our material third parties through effective testing of the value supply chain and manage the plans to remediate findings.
- Provide support to the business in determining, testing, approving and recommending appropriate exit strategies (stressed or unstressed).
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date MI to enable effective reporting of current status and gaps with a clear action management system and ownership.
- Provide governance over DR testing of our material suppliers including ensuring the scope meets expectations and to support the formulation of post-test reporting and lessons learned reviews. Governance reporting is fed into the Operational Resilience Steering Committee and other relevant forums.
- On an adhoc basis, you will also be required to support the team in the delivery of the wider Business Continuity programme such as Business Impact Analyses (BIA), Business Recovery Plans (BRP) and Crisis Management Plans (CMP), as required.
- Support the wider LV resiliency function with testing on a broader scale, such as test scenario exercises, important business process map updates or IT Disaster Recovery support.
