**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement global procurement strategies for the Microbiology, Genetics, and Molecular categories, ensuring alignment with Unilabs’ overall objectives and clinical requirements.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, supplier capabilities, and potential new products that align with laboratory needs and technological advancements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including R&D, laboratories, and quality assurance teams, to gather insights and ensure that product specifications meet clinical and operational needs.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics to evaluate supplier performance and procurement effectiveness within these categories.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, strategic sourcing, and value analysis projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards for procured products.
- Provide market insights and reporting to senior management to inform decision-making and strategic direction.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- At least 7-10 years of procurement experience, with a focus on microbiology, genetics, and molecular diagnostics.
- Strong understanding of laboratory processes, product specifications, and regulatory requirements within the diagnostics field.
- Proven track record of supplier management, contract negotiation, and category management.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and process improvements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in procurement tools, data analysis software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
