Our client is an industry leader in their sector who are looking to recruit a Head of Learning and Development to be based from either Milan or Barcelona where there is a hybrid working policy in place. The role will pay a competitive salary, bonus and industry leading benefits.

You will shape and implementing the EMEA strategic learning programmes working closely with EMEA Academy Heads to provide alignment between implementation of European strategic learning programmes and local learning requirements.

**What is expected of the Head of Learning and Development?**
- Provide strategic leadership and management across learning functions to ensure the provision of effective learning services and operations, providing professional guidance, advice and support throughout the organisation at all levels
- Promote an agile and collaborative work environment embodying the vision to collaborate on learning programs that are innovative and successfully address business needs
- Partner with the Talent Enablement regional teams, HR, and local business leaders to ensure that learning programs address business needs
- Research and analyse trends in learning to identify opportunities for intelligent design, innovation and automation, linking outputs to what is happening in the business and wider industry
- Collaborate with HR Strategic Project initiatives and programmes to ensure a consistent worker experience through their learning ecosystem
- Proactive involvement, collaboration and partnership

**What we looking for in a Head of Learning and Development?**
- Ability to implement learning strategy and learning operational requirements, addressing and prioritising overall Learning needs, promoting leading practices
- Effective team management: ability to coach and skill up the Learning team
- Strong knowledge of functional Academy approaches and best practice strategies
- Significant proven learning experience within a management role
- Experience of managing a learning team in a complex, matrix organization
- Strong knowledge of learning design, learning needs analysis, instructional methods and training techniques including curriculum design principles, adult learning and blended learning
