**Job Description Summary**: As Country Business Leader BDB for Iberia reporting to our Country General Manager Iberia and dotted line to the VP/GM BD BDB EMEA, you contribute actively in the definition of the European business strategy. The CBL adapts and aligns the regional business strategy to specific country situation and takes the lead to align and develop tactical execution of the sales, marketing and operational plans, as well as developing adequate strategies, tools and processes to accelerate and drive sales and income growth.

The Country Business Leader provides direct leadership to the hub BDB team, empowering dedicated Sales, Marketing and Scientific Support associates and identifies growth opportunities and implementation plans.

**About the role**:
**Must be based in Madrid to be close to our San Angustin office**:
The Country Business Leader BDB for Iberia position sits at the center of BD's matrix organization and requires close collaboration with and coordination between the European BD BDB teams and BD Iberia businesses. This position will be a full member of the Local Leadership Team and to the BD BDB European Leadership Team. The role is also responsible for developing and implementing a region & business-specific vision and strategy.

**Other key responsibilities include**:

- Full P&L responsibility for the BDB business in Iberia
- Leading the development and implementation of marketing and sales planning. Contribute to regional market development activities.
- Ensuring the development of ambitious but achievable operating plans and budgets for BD BDB in Iberia
- Going above and beyond in People Management and Talent Development that contributes to the ongoing success of the business, demonstrating Servant Leadership. Developing personal and team succession plans and successors.

**About you**:
We are looking for a Country Sales Manager with a proven track record in the strategic and operational leadership of a business unit of approximately €30m in the medical device and healthcare sector. We are looking for a Country Manager who is familiar with the capital sales strategy on a BU where he/she manages the full PNL responsibility and implements the marketing plans.

Your other attributes include:

- Experience in implementing annual business plan.
- Defining country marketing strategy by implementing innovative marketing strategies which deliver tangible differentiation and value creation for our products in the market
- Driving local teams to deliver results, skill improvements, and ongoing organizational change
- Understanding local customer needs through ongoing interaction with key accounts and through industry leaders

Proficiency in Spanish and English is essential. Portuguese is also advantageous.
