ROLE SUMMARY

The Medical Affairs Review and Approval Expert (MARA) is the Medical expert responsible for the medical review and approval of specific promotional* and non-promotional materials created by Marketing across BU’s.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES- Medical review and/ or approval of promotional and non-promotional materials in scope across BUs in compliance with local regulations and global and local procedures through the relevant systems (MLR review and approval in GCMA).- Ensure scientific accuracy of claims, references, tables, figures and translations and ensure alignment with local product label.- Is a key contributor to ensure local content promotional compliance for materials in scope.- Collaborates closely with the relevant cross functional colleagues across BUs to ensure a streamlined approach.- Close collaboration between the Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS), commercial and content generation stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience- A scientific or technical degree is preferred.- Fluent Spanish and English are required.- It will be an advantage, previous experience within a medical or regulatory department of the pharmaceutical industry demonstrating the following:
- Understanding of local business needs.- Understanding of the processes associated with promotional activities.- Working in an international environment.

Technical competencies:
- Demonstrated knowledge of promotional materials development and regulatory requirements.- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional processes required.- Strong project management skills and capacity to work under strict deadlines.- Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a multi-functional team.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (scientific and non-scientific).- Demonstrated platform and computer skills (GCMA skills desirable)
