HR Trainee

Hybrid, Barcelona

What you will be doing:

- Provide support during contracting, and orientation of new hires (onboarding)
- Provide support to the Human Resources Officer on the implementation of the employment manual and relevant laws
- Support the coordination of organizational cultural programs, wellbeing week, etc.
- Create and implement an efficient filing system both hard copy and on the internal system.
- Support in ensuring all employee staff files are up to date
- Assist in the routine and operational activities of the department to ensure it’s smooth running
- Liaise with employees to provide support where required and answer queries with regards to various issues such as policies, sick leave, vacation, etc.
- Manage employee Benefits, including contact with the providers
- Support in the handling of the employees' Health & Safety

What you need to succeed:

- Associate’s degree or higher in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong listening skills and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to effectively manage workload and time to maximize productivity
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas and collaborate effectively
- Experience with payroll systems and programs is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- General knowledge of HR best practices is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and an innovative, critical mindset
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals
- Fluency in English
