Director, Solutions Consulting

As the Director, you will lead a team of solutions consultants and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to drive the successful sale and adoption of our Payroll and Treasury solutions. This is a strategic leadership role that requires exceptional industry knowledge, technical expertise, and a customer-centric mindset.

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:
Reporting into the CRO, and as a part of the Sales leadership team, your role will be focused around three key areas:
Leadership and Team Development:
- Develop both the long-term vision and strategy for the Solutions Consulting team in terms of how we optimise and innovate around our Solution Consulting practices, tools, and approach to drive successful sales to both prospects and customers- Provide strategic direction and mentorship to a global team of solutions consultants, fostering a high-performance culture- Become a trusted voice of the business for external engagements, representing our business at client’s premises, trade shows, industry events, conferences and seminars as required - specifically ensuring we are highly visible in all the relevant industry bodies

Solution Strategy and Development:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape in the payroll space.- Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, implementation, and operations teams to influence the product roadmap, ensure alignment with customer needs, and influence the go-to-market of emerging solutions- Identify opportunities for product enhancements and new solutions based on customer feedback and market research.- Support the training and development of our sales team around emerging products and solutions

Pre-and Post-Sales Consultation:
- Support your team in engaging with key prospects and customers as a trusted advisor, understanding their requirements in both Payroll and Treasury domains, and providing expert guidance on our solutions.- Collaborate closely with sales teams to support the sales cycle, including proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.- Partner with our implementation team to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales to post-sales implementation.

Attributes and Experience Required:
- Over 10 years of experience in the payroll industry, with a deep understanding of payroll processes, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. You will also ideally have an understanding of the role of Payment solutions in the payroll space.- Proven track record of success in leading and managing solutions consulting teams in software or SaaS industries.- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to quickly understand new or complex capabilities to and effectively communicate them to non-technical stakeholders.- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.- Demonstrated experience in working closely with sales teams and customers- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.- Proven ability to build trust and rapport with cross-functional & cross-regional partners- Open-minded and innovative, with the ability to pioneer emerging solutions and support our business in building a customer value story- Resilient and positive, with an appreciation of the dynamics of fast-growth environments- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is a plus.
