- The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a DevOps and CI Manager to join us in remote Spain. In this role, you will develop a continuous integration (CI) framework for the Red Hat EcoSystem QE group. You'll help a large quality engineering team and ensure they are using the latest CI and automation technologies. You'll frequently interact with other communities like those surrounding Jenkins, OpenShift, Linux. You'll help promote python and go automation frameworks at conferences and forums. This is a great opportunity to join and help promote improvement in a vibrant open source community.**What you will do**:
- Nurture an open working environment
- Work with the complete Red Hat product portfolio and be responsible for the delivery CI and automation infrastructure of the Edge and Telco solutions- Develop a deep understanding of multiple solutions lines and complex subsystems within each offering- Participate in the review of engineering designs to contribute quality assurance requirements and considerations- Prepare development plans with individual associates, help them seek guidance and mentors- Prioritize and manage the work by setting a roadmap and goals; ensure delivery against established goals and objectives- Work cross-functionally within other teams and stakeholders and foster a collaborative environment- Manage and grow a motivated, engaged, and effective team; play an active role in hiring activities for on-site and remote teams- Oversee planning of the team's yearly staffing, financial plan, and expense priorities**What you will bring**:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related engineering field
- 2+ year background in managing DevOps and CI teams
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience with managing and project leading of a team of engineers; leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and work under strict deadlines
- Programming and systems architectural skills
- Experience with testing methodology, automation, analyzing the quality and product metrics
- Solid experience with at least one software development methodology
- Manage the organizations cloud accounts
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience with open source projects is a plus
