**Systems Manager**

**IT Unit**

VHIR offers a vacant position for a Systems Manager to join the IT team and provide support to the IT unit by supervising, managing

and improving both the VHIR's communication systems and networks, as well as its internal connectivity with other entities of the

HUVH Campus.

The IT Unit of VHIR is composed of an operational core of professionals who lead the processes linked to the information systems

of VHIR and promote the aspects of management, planning and monitoring of outsourced services and projects under development.

They respond to the IT needs of both the research staff and the research support units of VHIR, in terms of information technology

and computing infrastructures.

**Education and qualifications:

Bachelor´s Degree in Software Engineering
- Valuable other studies related to IT

**Experience and knowledge:

- **

4 years of experience in IT Systems
- Proven knowledge in project management and functional/technical analysis
- User orientation and continuous improvement applied to the field of systems and security
- Experience in system supplier management and hardware/software purchase support
- Good level of Catalan, Spanish and English, both written and spoken

**Main responsibilities and duties: -**

Coordinate the correct functioning and optimisation of the VHIR workstations and associated operating software
(Windows operating systems, O365, Ms Outlook 2013, Antivirus: Kaspersky, etc.)
- Definition and coordination of the VHIR contingency and security plans: Back-Up management and contingency situations
(Veeam BackUp); Network and access security (VPN, cyber-attacks, active security management, security training, etc.)
- Coordination of projects linked to the field of Systems Management (selection/migration of software base, hardware
architecture, high performance repository, etc...)
- Internal CPD: virtualisation and hardware architecture (Internal Cluster Servers, VMWare Virtual Machines, Storage
Cluster, SAN, etc...)
- Coordination and improvement of the incident system and its daily management (User Service Centre - CAU)
- General connectivity to meeting rooms and other locations, as well as external connectivity (remote wiring, VPN Global
Protect, etc...)
- WiFi and networks connectivity and physical/logical configuration

**Labour conditions: -**

Full-time position: 40h/week
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: 25.000 € (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our
Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Contract**:Temporary
