**Regional Head of Business Development, DACH**:
**Location**: Partially based in the Aimsun office in Barcelona, combined with remote working and the option of flexible hours.
As Regional Head of Business Development in the DACH region, you will develop our growth in German-speaking Europe.
You will ideally have a background in traffic engineering or transport planning, along with strong commercial experience.
Reporting to the Global Head of Business Development, you will:
- Define and develop long-term strategic goals and targets
- Build key customer and industry partner relationships
- Identify business opportunities
- Negotiate and close business deals

**Responsibilities**
- Improve Aimsun’s market position and achieve sustainable financial growth
- Work with the executive team to develop and implement business strategies or initiatives
- Develop strong relationships with prospects, existing customers, and business partners
- Positive contribution and input to the team pre
- and post-sales activities, including case studies
- Prepare technical proposals in collaboration with other teams
- Maintain a well-developed pipeline of qualified prospects
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing, and negotiating contracts (with appropriate Commercial and Legal support) where necessary
- Increase dominance of Aimsun solutions in the academic and public sectors
- Coordinate with other teams to optimise the sales effort
- Manage customer expectations around project delivery and timescales
- Maintain the current high level of customer satisfaction
- Track and update all activities in Salesforce
- Ensure customers are up to date with all Aimsun activity and services, with the right information directed and communicated effectively to the right stakeholders
**Minimum Qualifications**
- A relevant degree or qualification and experience within transport planning, traffic engineering, ITS, or the data industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, colleagues, and external partners
- 5+ years of business development experience with proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
- Proficiency in government/authority tendering and procurement processes
- Ability to undertake detailed and accurate analysis of market data and to synthesise and justify strategies and solutions that will be of economic benefit to the company
- Be highly self-motivated
- Ability to travel to meet customers and to attend trade shows and conferences in your sales regions
- Total professional competence in English and German, written and spoken
- European citizenship or Spanish work permit
**Ideal Qualifications**
- A Bachelor’s degree in a transportation-related field followed by post-graduate studies in Business Administration or related field
- Exposure to Aimsun software solutions
- Certified project management skills
- Strong professional and academic network and a solid reputation in the transportation industry
- Fluency in other languages in addition to English and German

**Responsibilities**

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
- 5+ years of business development experience with proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and another European language
- Proficient in government/authority tendering and procurement processes
