The Fraud & Claims department is fueled by a passion for continuous improvement and problem solving. We are looking for a talented Senior Fraud Analyst with technical payments and fraud expertise to join our team. Your mission will be leading initiatives to detect and minimize the risk of fraud, while providing an exceptional merchant experience.
**Job Duties And Responsibilities**:
- Liaise with product and engineering stakeholders to implement new fraud prevention features in PayRetailers platform.
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve approval rates, while maintaining acceptable fraud loss rates and merchant satisfaction.
- Identify root causes of problems related to fraud prevention and take ownership to have the team work collaboratively towards solutions.
- Certification of the new features through UAT.
- Build new SQL queries for fraud monitoring.
- Develop and maintain fraud knowledge documentation for internal and external use.
- Design data visualization dashboards in efforts to monitor fraud KPIs.
- Be a coach and mentor to other analysts on technical tools and provide support and advice to internal departments on fraud related matters.
**Experience And Qualifications**:
- BS / BA or higher degree in a quantitative field (computer science, engineering, or similars).
- At least 2 years’ experience working in risk or fraud detection in the Payments Industry.
- Proficient with SQL.
- Good understanding of fraud metrics and patterns.
- Knowledge of back-end systems supporting payment transactions, fraud detection tools and operational procedures.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish are a must (at least B2 level).
- Experience analysing large complex datasets and converting them into information which drives business decisions.
- Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills with a self-starter attitude.
