Position Overview
We are hiring high-energy Director of Inside Sales with sound business acumen, natural sales instincts and strong technical aptitude to lead our office-based sales team of Territory Sales Representatives and Managers. Your primary focus will be on leading, coaching and developing your team of Managers and reps to over-achieve sales targets, excel in customer satisfaction, and reach new heights of professional development.
**Responsibilities**:
- Hire, train and motivate a team of 8 Managers and 50 Territory Sales Representatives
- Achieve and exceed monthly quotas of qualified opportunities and closed business
- Ensure the volume of handoffs between Sales Development Reps and Territory Sales Reps are successful
- Motivate individuals and team to exceed their sales objectives through deal coaching, sales skills and product skills training, and regular communication of results
- Work closely with Marketing to build campaigns that ensure lead quality and quantity with proper closed-loop metric reporting
- Develop and leverage relationships with channel partners to improve all territory performance to exceed customers’ expectations
- Regularly report on team and individual results: pipeline, conversion rates, and billings attainment
- Work closely with internal sales operations stakeholders on reporting and analysis
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement in sales productivity
- Continuously develop your Reps into sales-ready professionals for the next step in their careers
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience managing Managers is a must
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 6 to 10 years of proven experience in successfully managing people to achieve performance goals within an inbound and outbound office-based sales team
- Outstanding communication, organizational and time management skills
- Prior inside sales experience a plus with a strong desire to be in technology sales
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Drive to continually improve your sales skills through on the job coaching, self-learning and as defined by Autodesk sales career progression framework
- Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages: German, Spanish, Italian or French
