Minimum 6-8 years of experience in account management, sales, management consulting, or roles with similarly broad scope. With at least 4 years of strategic planning and management
- Minimum Bachelor degree level qualification, or equivalent
- Outstanding interpersonal skills: decisive, action-oriented, and able to motivate, inspire, and lead cross-functional teams in different geographies, business units, and industries
- Excellent business judgement, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done
- History of engaging with C-Suites, and providing regular verbal and written updates
- Proven quantitative analytical capability and project management skills in addition to being customer focused, extremely detail-oriented, and able to effectively prioritize and multi-task
- Familiarity with Excel and CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)
Job summary
Amazon.es Marketplace is a large and fast-growing business where millions of customers transact with hundreds of thousands of selling partners, who range from individuals to large retailers. Amazon is seeking a bright and ambitious individual, to build their career with our ES Marketplace team. The New Seller Recruitment team works with new to Amazon selling partners, helping them launch and grow their business on the Amazon marketplace. This is a great opportunity for a big leader with strong ownership, and who is passionate about hiring and developing the best, building relationships and delivering results.
You will join us as Manager, New Seller Recruitment and be responsible for a direct team of Account Managers. Your team will work across a broad range of programs and business areas. You’ll sponsor flagship topics at the ES/EU level, and work alongside stakeholders across other marketplaces to drive EU initiatives and goals.
Key job responsibilities
- Managing a team that sources, launches and manages medium to large ES businesses, helping them to grow their businesses on the Marketplace
- Leading, motivating, developing, and promoting your direct reports.
- Responsibility for the full sales cycle of the team, from lead generation efforts through to account management of launched selling partners
- Building structure and auditing mechanisms to ensure the smooth running of the team, as well as launching new and complex initiatives to drive ES performance.
- Developing relationships with multiple internal teams, especially with your counterparts in UK, Germany, France and Italy.
- Supporting the team in building relationships with large external partners. They will be leading calls with high street retailers, publicly listed companies and household brand names.
- Key contributor to shaping EU recruitment long term strategy being end-to-end owner of EU initiatives and areas of expertise.
- Prior experience being a manager
- Knowledge of databases, such as SQL, and other tools like Tableau is advantageous
