Adevinta’s Global Communications team sits within the global People, Comms & Workplace function. As a central team, we are responsible for branding, PR, corporate communications, social media, internal communications and events which reach all Adevintans and our corporate audiences.
**Job Description**:
Role purpose
As Content & Channels Manager, you’ll plan and produce content across our key global communications channels, both internal and external, to support our reputation as the largest online classifieds company in the western world and a fantastic company to work for. You will be comfortable at both a strategic and operational level, developing the channels strategy for Adevinta’s social media and global internal communications channels, while also delivering creative and strategic content. You will also act as Editor-in-Chief for Adevinta daily internal newsletter, providing strategic content direction for this publication.
You’ll have a pivotal role in the Communications team, working alongside your teammates and the Employer Branding team to manage our dynamic and busy editorial calendar, produce and post engaging content across our corporate social media channels (LinkedIn and Twitter), and our internal comms channels. Regardless of the channel, you’ll deliver high-quality, on-brand, targeted content based on our brand strategy. You will also successfully lead and manage two direct reports.
**The role**:
Your time will primarily be spent in three areas of comms channels and content management:
1) Channels and content strategy, planning and execution
2) Content production - words, pictures, videos, etc. You don’t need to be a videographer or photographer, but you’ll know how to manage suppliers to get high-quality content. Great copywriting skills are vital
3) Analytics and improvement
**On a day to day basis this will look something like this**:
Working closely with the Communications Director and the wider team to ensure we’re communicating the right messages to the right audiences, and developing well-rounded plans and strategies to reach them.
Providing leadership for two direct reports.
Acting as ‘Editor-in-Chief’ for the Adevinta Daily, providing editorial direction and leadership for the team you manage in terms of content and associated visuals.
Day-to-day ownership of our corporate social media channels, all the while looking at how we can increase engagement in our social media channels.
Managing the Adevinta content calendar for our content and channels, allocating work to our agency partners and your colleagues. You’ll be planning, creating and posting content on social media, website, intranet, and Adevinta’s internal newsletter.
Building a broad network around the company and keeping an ear to the ground so you know about events and happenings in the business and how to cover them.
Utilising our brand and local videography and photography agencies to ensure the content created is consistently on-brand, targeted and engaging.
Setting the strategy for our channels and then executing that strategy.
Be an active member of the central Communications & Engagement team, contributing feedback, ideas, and support as needed to the team
**Qualifications**:
You’re excellent at planning, writing and delivering top-level content, with superb stakeholder management skills, and a very sharp eye for detail. You are able to zoom in and zoom out and see the big picture of our content strategy and the key messages we want to be embedding, while also rolling up your sleeves and working on the details to make sure every piece of content is word-perfect and on brand. Experience in a global communications team in a matrixed organisation would be desirable.
