**Context of the role**
Thunes is looking for a creative and multi-talented **Director of Content & Communications** to lead our global content, thought leadership, PR and social media efforts.
This is a full-time global role, based in London, and reporting directly to Chief Marketing Officer, with the potential to grow your own team and manage teams.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Conceptualise and produce strong and captivating thought leadership content, based on data and insights, that can be used for PR campaigns and speaker engagements;
- Refine Thunes' core messaging and narrative, partnering with regional teams and vendors to tailor them to ICP audiences around the world;
- Oversee PR, content, and comms calendars and working with agencies, ensuring brand standards and strong quality of execution in both design and written content;
- Review and upgrade our content capabilities through a combination of agency and freelance partners, putting in place tools and processes to brief external contributors and ensure quality control.
- Work closely with Product Marketing and Lead Generation functions to ensure that product value proposition is consistently reflected across all channels.
- Work with the CMO to manage and proactively plan business announcements and press opportunities.
- Audit, structure and enhance corporate media kits and leadership profiles.
- Create opportunities to tell stories: proactively identify, submit, and support speaking engagements, participation in podcasts, industry awards nominations.
- Build and oversee content and comms calendars, aligned to company ICPs and regional requirements.
- Set clear goals and KPIs for content and communications, and report back to the business regularly on progress and learnings.
- Oversee social media content and align social media activities with key global initiatives: product launches, company announcements, events, other milestones.
- Run media training sessions and coach executives on public speaking, storytelling and social media communications.
- Effectively develop and cultivate powerful customer success stories.
- Create powerful client-facing presentations.
- Work with vendors to ensure quality execution on content plans.
**PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS**
- ~7-10+ years of multi-domain experience in Content and Communications, including copywriting, graphic design, social media in a B2B environment or for B2B customers.
- Hands-on experience gained within the Fintech industry.
- Proven track record of building, leading & developing strong content across a multi-geography remit, and delivering it via various channels.
- Truly ambidextrous: able to combine visual and graphic elements with written content to form an irresistible story.
- Impeccable copywriting and copy-editing abilities.
- Solid understanding of social media marketing for B2B/ B2B2C businesses.
- Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple assignments at the same time.
- Working knowledge of content management systems and digital graphics production frameworks.
- A passion to grow, solve, iterate, and desire to get stuff done.
- A hands-on problem solver, that will take an idea and make it happen.
- Ability to read and understand data, and generate insights based on it to enhance and strengthen Thunes content.
